Learning about living beings always fascinates me. The uniqueness of each structure and its functions always brings curiosity and many questions in me to investigate them more deeply. My interest in the biotechnology area first arose during my first undergraduate degree. In my agricultural biotechnology class, when my professor explained genetic engineering, proteins, and plant tissue culture to me, I was probably mesmerized by it, and at the same time, I started to realize my enthusiasm towards it. application of biotechnology. Since then I started reading few books on the application of biotechnology in many fields. Among them was “The Forever Fix: Gene Therapy and the Boy Who Saved It” written by a genetic counselor and journalist named Ricki Lewis. This book is about a child, Corey Haas, who suffered from hereditary blindness due to a genetic defect. To solve his problem, doctors injected good DNA into his eye to replace the faulty gene. As a result, his blindness was cured and he can now see like any other normal child. As far as I am concerned, this is such an amazing and very interesting grace. This further stimulates my determination to pursue my postgraduate specialization in a biotechnology related field. As I have always been interested in Northern Europe, I chose to study in the UK for a number of reasons. Firstly, I was very impressed by the outcomes and quality of education in the UK, known for its excellence in both teaching and research. In addition to this, UK universities and their facilities are protected by the Quality Assurance Agency. Furthermore, every five years, the research assessment exercise will test the quality of research undertaken by each university to improve its standard and the quality of...... half of paper ......alising in particular areas. As far as I know, I know that I am enthusiastic and passionate enough to be able to study biotechnology at a higher level and my academic skills have enabled me to face all the challenges that await me in your renowned university. I hope that Imperial College London will be a challenging and exciting experience where I can deepen my understanding of biotechnology and gain a broad range of professional and personal skills to prepare me for my future career in biotechnology. In the years to come, after completing my study, I hope to be able to serve my country well using my unique ways. I look forward to hearing from you soon regarding my application and participating in a life-changing experience at your university. I hope that I will be given the opportunity to join Imperial College London.
