Scuba diving is that type of diving in which a self-contained breathing apparatus is used underwater, which acts as a gas supplier for the diver. It allows divers to stay underwater longer than freediving methods. While diving, fins attached to the feet are used. Scuba diving is undertaken for both recreational and professional reasons, including cave diving, wreck diving, ice diving and deep diving for recreational purposes. Professional diving is carried out by personnel from the department of civil engineering, naval diving and rescue reasons. I started as an open water diver, now I am a rescue diver and hope to become a master diver (Robinson, page 2). The Red Sea is located between arid, semi-arid and desert lands, has great depths and efficient water circulation patterns. The Red Sea is a perfect place for diving; there are many places to dive here. In particular Dahab which is very beautiful with the mountains, the scent of the sea and the sand. Dahab also enjoys a pleasant climate all year round and welcomes a large number of tourists. Popular activities here include snorkeling, windsurfing and scuba diving. The land based activities around Dahab are; jeep rides, camel rides and driving to Mount Sinai. I mainly practice my professionalism in this region (Printfu). While I was an open water diver, I dived for recreational reasons. I had gotten my technical training and was certified as a diver. I progressed with extensive training, gained experience and improved my techniques to become a diver. During that time I went wreck diving, exploring shipwrecks. Wrecks are attractive to divers as they serve as inhabitants of marine life and test their skills. Diving a wreck through the narrow passages you have to navigate, and the… middle of paper… in better communication with your partners. Another requirement of diving is mobility in water. Rapid movements in deep water will make it enjoyable for a diver to have a large distance to cover compared to less mobile divers. It is therefore important that a diver is trained to achieve the desired level of diving ability (Ferrer, page 8).
