To kill or not to kill Since ancient times, nations around the world have imposed the death penalty for a wide variety of crimes such as rape, adultery, incest , murder, espionage, treason, military desertion, corruption, human trafficking and even drug trafficking. Running is becoming less and less popular every year, but it is still a very controversial topic in today's society. Some argue that the execution is unconstitutional, inhumane, or otherwise unjust. Death is widely feared more than any other punishment. Capital punishment is not only the strongest deterrent, but it is also the most cost-effective solution to serious crimes, as well as the most effective in effectively proving guilt and delivering fair justice to the victims of these most heinous crimes. Although nearly all societies throughout history have used the death penalty as punishment for crimes, only fifty-seven countries still use it today. About ninety percent of executions take place in Asia. Among the most severe forms of execution used in history have been death by boiling, slow cutting, crushing (by an elephant), and stoning. In established times, feuds between tribes were often resolved when one tribe offered the other a member of its tribe for execution. This person didn't even have to be the original person to start the feud. In ancient Greece, capital punishment laws were written by Draco, making death the punishment for a wide range of crimes. Solon later rewrote these laws so that several murders were usually the only reason for being put to death. Many societies made most of their executions public, as a deterrent, so that the rest of the population would take it as a warning. In medieval Europe, executions were also us… the center of the paper… a means of motions and objections to protect their clients from conviction” (California District Attorneys Association (CDAA)). Choosing to be for or against the death penalty is a very simple issue. To be against capital punishment is to choose a position that believes execution is too brutal or inhumane. Being in favor of capital punishment means believing that the punishment fits the crime. If someone has decided to kill another, he has chosen his own destiny. Many people get on with their lives, abiding by the laws and doing what they should. If one does not wish to be put to death, one should not take the life of another. People say that execution is inhumane, which means that putting a murderer to death in the most humane way possible is a horrible act. This is to say that the most atrocious and disgusting murders of all time do not deserve at least this?
