In this short article I will talk about the political figure from Kentucky, currently sitting senator and former governor Julian Carroll. I will first discuss his background which will include his early life up until his start in politics. Secondly I will discuss how he began his political career and then move on to talk about how he and his administration changed Kentucky. Finally I will discuss his current political status and how I think he has made a difference in Kentucky. First, I will discuss his background, which began when he was born on April 16, 1931 in McCracken County, Kentucky. His parents were Elvie B. and Eva Heady Carroll. His father was a farmer and tractor implement salesman, he also owned a garage. In 1937, the family moved to Heath Kentucky, he attended Heath High School and was later elected student body president. After graduating from high school, Senator Carroll attended Paducah Junior College. In 1951, he and his girlfriend Charlann Harting married and started their family of what would eventually be four children. A year later he graduated from Paducah Junior College with a bachelor of arts degree. The Carroll family then packed their bags and moved to Lexington Kentucky, where he worked at the Office of Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation. In 1954 he earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Kentucky. He subsequently attended law school at the University of Kentucky where he earned his law degree in 1956. For the next five years he practiced as a military lawyer at Carswell Air Force Base in Texas, in addition to serving at the Paducah law firm of Reed, Scent, Reed and Walton before he began his political career in 1961. Next I'll talk about how he got... halfway down the paper... trapped in what he is today. I have attempted to contact Senator Carroll regarding this document but he has not responded at this time. He has been out of the office a lot lately, which may be a result of his son's recent death a few weeks ago. If you contact me, I will incorporate your responses into this article.
