The story follows the protagonist, Elizabeth Bennet, the second of five daughters. Jane, the eldest daughter, is a truly beautiful and kind woman, her mother sees in her the opportunity to grow up in a wealthy community. At a young age she was proposed to, but this did not lead to marriage. The second is Elizabeth, who shares a sarcastic outlook with her father. Mr. Bennet shows more affection to Lizzy than to another of his daughters. Mary wasn't pretty, but she was still studious. Lydia was a troublemaker in the family, flirtatious, wanton and the youngest of the family. While Kitty was a follower of her younger sister. Her mother, Mrs. Bennet, gets very excited when she hears that Mr. Bingley is arriving in their town with his family, a rich boy, perfect for the wedding of one of her daughters. At the local dance they meet Mr. Bingley, who shows interest in Jane, the eldest daughter. While Bingley was well received, his friend Mr. Darcy was less likeable, appearing as a man too proud to speak to the locals and who Elizabeth overhears refuses to dance with her and comments on his appearance. After Jane receives an invitation from Bingley's sister Caroline, she goes there and catches a cold. She is forced to stay there for several days. A worried Elizabeth walks five miles to see her sister and when she arrives in Netherfield with messy hair and dirty dress, she is met with spiteful comments from the snobbish Caroline, Bingley's sister. He stays there to nurse his sister. During that time at Netherfield she is forced to stay in Darcy's company. She approaches him with wit and sarcasm. However, Darcy is fascinated by Elizabeth's frankness, intelligence and expressive eyes, which makes Caroline quite jealous. Eliza... middle of the paper... rejects Darcy if he proposes. Lady Catherine leaves Elizabeth furious. During Bingley's visits to Jane, Darcy also arrives. Mrs. Bennet asks Elizabeth to make a sacrifice and entertain Darcy. Being alone, Darcy asks Elizabeth if her feelings had changed, would she agree to marry him. Elizabeth willingly accepts. Now the only thing left is for Darcy to talk to Mr. Bennet. After the conversation, Mr. Bennet talks to Elizabeth about his feelings for Darcy. He thought she couldn't stand Darcy either, but she explains to him what he has done for them and that she really loves him. Now Elizabeth was richer even than Jane. Unfortunately, Lydia didn't live so well. She and Wickham spent more money than they had. This led to them living with the help of Jane and Elizabeth. Darcy also hated Wickham for what he did to his sister, he helped them because of Elizabeth.
