Coca Cola Company Independent Employee Outsourcing Evaluation Over the years, Coca Cola Company has understood the important role employees play in the success of its operations. It is company policy to value employees and ensure that only competent personnel are assigned to various positions. Given the many challenging tasks that are part of the Human Resources (HR) function, the company's Human Resources department decided to engage the services of an independent contractor for the recruitment and selection of new employees, as well as the training of existing employees at 3 month intervals. This is mainly due to the need to reduce workload and control recruitment costs. In the last six months that the independent contractor has been offering the contracted services, the company's human resources have been engaged in monitoring and control activities to ensure the efficiency of the contractor's services in the planning and action phases. An important aspect noted in the planning process is the contractor's thoroughness in consulting the human resources department to obtain the most precise details on an open position. This primarily serves the purpose of profiling the job and describing the position in a concise manner that attracts relevant job seekers. This diligence is exercised by the contractor throughout the procurement process and in particular in screening candidates to determine their suitability for the job. As this is the first time using these services, the company has been particularly careful in monitoring the contractor's effectiveness in providing timely service. During the evaluation, the Human Resources department expressed its satisfaction with the way the contractor handled the transactions. Upon receipt of the order to fill the positions, the contractor communicates the procedure... half of the document... training arter. As this had not been included in the contractor's scope of work, a meeting will be convened with the contractor to discuss this change and its possible impact in terms of remuneration. So far, no additional services have been requested from the contractor. However, from the relationship so far established between the company and the contractor, the company is confident that, should such a situation arise, the contractor will handle it to the satisfaction of the company. At the end of the year, the company will conduct another evaluation to determine the overall effectiveness of the project. Works Group CitedConsult, 2011. Internal executive search and selection.
