Members who have lost confidence or have not reached that phase may miss much of the session. I like to establish a relationship of trust because relationships are based on trust and being reliable is one of my fundamental values. For groups to thrive, members must trust each other and their leaders. If the group has confidence in itself and the leaders, there will be peace in the group and conflicts will be reduced. Likewise, where there is trust in the transition phase, members rely on each other and take risks. Feelings are knowledge and expressed. Members speak directly to each other and there are no hidden agendas. I think trust is very important in any relationship. Reading and learning about trust will help me behave well and give me a warning when my group isn't functioning as it should
