How far would you go to be with the love of your life? Would you kill someone or run away from the love of your life? Romeo did exactly that, he possesses all the qualities of the tragic hero. Romeo fears us, too soon: for my mind fears that some consequence, still hanging among the stars, will bitterly begin its terrible rendezvous with this night's festivities, and expire the term of a despised life locked in my bosom For some vile renunciation to an early death. (Shakespeare) this quote shows that Romeo is the tragic hero because of his characteristics of loving easily and believing in fate, and he is very impulsive. Romeo was so drunk with love that he thought of nothing else and did stupid things that caused him a lot of pain. Also, he very quickly got over his first love, Rosaline, when he met Juliet, which also caused his death because they should never have happened. Juliet foreshadows her death by saying "a sick soul" (act 3 scene 5 Shakespeare), meaning that she feels that something bad will happen to Romeo. This foreshadows how he will see Romeo for the last time. This is evidence that shows how Shakespeare uses tragic flaws to show that Romeo is a true tragic hero responsible for his own death. Romeo displays many characteristics that allow him to become the hero of the play. tragic hero The first characteristic of the tragic hero that Romeo possesses is that he is very impulsive. he thinks without acting, which is another reason why he died, and how he overdoes it, which leads to him getting into trouble. Romeo spends days and nights locked in his room, not talking to anyone and then suddenly decides he has fallen in love again. “Has my heart loved until now? Deny him, look! / For I had never seen true beauty until this night." (act 1 scene 1-2 Shakespeare...... center of card ......est, for some cowardly renunciation of an untimely death" (Shakespeare act 1 scene 5) which is basically saying that I will wait and see what fate has in store for me, also he says that he is destined to die. I think Romeo believes in fate so much that he thinks everything revolves around fate , although in part it may have been his and other people's fault.when Mercutio died (Shakespeare Act 3 scene 1) Tybalt caused the fight, not fate, he could have just let it go, but he persisted in fighting, causing Mercutio's death Romeo believed too much in fate and let it controlled his life, it was like a book to him, as if he had to follow a code As a result it led him into bad situations, in turn causing his own death If Romeo had believed in fate as much as he should have realizing that he and Juliet were not meant to be. these are examples of why Romeo is guilty of his own death.
