Introduction 1.1 Context of the study Job satisfaction is a criterion for establishing the strength of an organization; The description of effective services depends largely on the human source (Fitzgerald et al., 1994) and the job satisfaction experienced by employees will influence the quality of the service rendered. Job satisfaction is the look at their job performance. Job satisfaction has been defined as a positive emotional state resulting from the pleasure a worker derives from work and as the affective and cognitive attitudes held by an employee regarding various aspects of his or her job. Kolej Poly Tech Mara Kuala Lumpur has an academic level of a teaching and non-academic staff employee. Academic staff is usually a lecturer, however non-academic staff are the staff who work in KPTMKL as student and faculty management. The KPTMKL staff works by department and courses. There must be job satisfaction when working with a friend, supervisor, manager or others. There have been numerous studies on job satisfaction that explore the impact of demographic characteristics such as age, gender, tenure, and education. The relationship between job satisfaction and performance is still open to discussion; it would be risky to assume that high job satisfaction leads to high performance or that high performers are satisfied with their jobs. Most past research on job satisfaction showed less interest in examining academics as a subject of study. However, in recent years, a clear increase in the number of studies related to job satisfaction among academics has been observed. In conclusion, I see job performance as including many potential outcomes. Some are of primary value for organizing the objectives of my study. The department head can make sense of the issue by understanding the motivational implications of the job through the application of job satisfaction.
