I believe that literal and spiritual immortality is impossible, but genetic, commemorative, and historical are achievable. In my opinion, literal immortality is medically impossible. This could never happen because the organs and muscles of the body would wear out and stop working, for example the heart is a muscle and over time it would stop working. Eventually the lubrication in the joints will dry up and movement will become unbearably painful. Furthermore, the skin would lose elasticity. I also don't believe in spiritual immortality because I don't believe anyone can live forever in heaven. My upbringing was heavily influenced by beliefs about immortality. My education has always been more about science than religious opinions, especially since schools are not allowed to discuss religious topics.
