Topic > Mark's position on cloud nine - 2071

Human behavior is the key to achieving success in life and positive behavior in an organization is the key to company success. Human attitude and behavior play an important role in life as well as business organizations and in the study of human behavior in organizational contexts commonly referred to as organizational behavior. According to Griffin and Moorhead (2011), “organizational behavior is a study of the relationship or interface between human behavior and the organization” (p.4). Given its importance in the organizational context, companies pay a lot of attention to this aspect and in this work we report an account of the behavior of Mark, the manager and John, an enthusiastic hotelier who graduated from the Settimo Cielo Resort. Behavioral description of John and MarkMark, a new recruit at Seventh Heaven, a luxury six-star resort on the Gold Coast; has joined the graduate development program which aims to prepare graduates to become future resort managers. John is the front office manager and also Mark's immediate superior at Seventh Heaven, to whom Mark must report on daily activities. It is observed that Mark is a very sociable and extroverted individual, spontaneous and enthusiastic about working in stimulating environments while John does not demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills. John has a short-tempered demeanor and only has harsh, negative communications with staff that have become his identity. John's personality is tied to his office wearing jacket and clipboard, which indicates that something is wrong with him, which leads him to yell at staff and accuse them of poor performance. Giovanni does not have a healthy personality as his behavior does not include the affective part, i.e. emotions and feelings; to...... half of the sheet......n. These types of Seventh Heaven learning orientation and motivation methods will encourage Mark to provide his services and improve levels of job satisfaction and motivation. Continuous learning in an organization is necessary which seems to be lacking at Seventh Heaven Resorts and implementing learning strategies will benefit most of the employees as Mark.Works Cited1.
