In response to your request, I have prepared the corporate research paper on accounting prospects for the next five years. Additionally, I used the findings from this research paper to determine whether accounting is the right career path for me. Therefore, I have come to the conclusion that accounting is the right career path for me and I will continue to pursue my goal of becoming a certified public accountant. Also, I want to let you know about the information I learned during my research. First, I learned about the additional requirements to qualify to become a CPA and where to take the CPA exam. To qualify to become a CPA you need 30 additional semester hours of education in addition to a bachelor's degree. I knew I would have to take the exam in four parts, but I didn't know that I would need 150 credits in total. Additionally, an individual has a maximum of 18 months to complete the four-part CPA exam when one part is completed. Additionally, the only place to take the CPA exam is at a Prometric Center, of which each state only has one. Secondly, I learned about the forensic accountant job opportunity. It is a very interesting field where accountants are hired to look into fraudulent activities in companies, individuals or organizations. Some of their job responsibilities involve preparing forensic accounting reports, analytical data for litigation, and analyzing financial data. Finally, I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to work on this research paper. I have learned many things about the field I will be in and this will help me prepare for the future. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY This report analyzes the outlook for accounting for the next five years and will be used to determine whether accounting is the right career path for me… middle of paper… a 13% increase from 2012 to 2022. At least a bachelor's degree is required to qualify beyond entry-level job positions. Skill requirements will increase in the future as companies and organizations globalize and become more team-oriented. Additionally, after analyzing and evaluating primary and secondary sources on careers in accounting, I have determined that this is the right career path for me. My goal remains unchanged and I still want to become a Chartered Accountant. For this reason I like accounting and it is a growing, safe and well-paid job. Additionally, I look forward to the challenge of earning a degree, preparing for (Continued Conclusion) and passing the CPA exam, and maintaining my CPA license. Additionally, the institution I will be attending that I believe will give me the best opportunity to achieve my goal is Walsh College.
