I chose to do an article on bipolar disorder. Bipolar is a disorder characterized by a person's mood inappropriately alternating between feelings of mania and depression. Bipolar mania is a mental illness classified by psychiatry as a mood disorder. Individuals with bipolar disorder also experience episodes of elevated or agitated mood known as mania or hypomania, depending on the severity, alternating with episodes of depression. This depression also has many symptoms that could lead to other disorders or problems. Symptoms of bipolar are inability to complete homework (it may turn you into a compulsive hoarder or simply not be able to complete all your tasks on time or when you want to finish them), depression (you may want to commit suicide or perhaps make you not want to eat a lot could occur with the depressive part of this disorder), irritability (you might just get mad at your loved ones and they didn't even do anything to make them feel down and it will be more of an angry or irritated person), rapid speech (everyone knows that not we like someone who talks a lot, no one wants to be with someone who talks their ear off, so it's a bad time), problems at work (if you have problems at work that could get you fired for whatever you've done, unless your boss is just not nice and he/she understands), and erratic behavior (could lead you into relationships you never thought you would have) all of which could lead to other things. Bipolar has no specific cause, it is a complex disorder with multiple contributing factors, one of which is genetic. Sometimes bipolar tends to run in people's families. Another factor is biological. Researchers believe that certain neurotransmitters including se......middle of paper......loss of free time, strained relationships with people who may not understand the situation, and physical and mental exhaustion. It can be very difficult to cope with a loved one's bipolar symptoms. One study shows that if a caregiver is very stressed, their loved one has more difficulty following the treatment plan, which increases the chance of a major bipolar episode. . If you are caring for someone with bipolar disorder, it is important that you also make time to care for yourself. In learning about bipolar disorder I learned a lot about it. I learned about all the causes and all the symptoms of this disorder. If you have bipolar you have a lot of stress in your life and you can't even get rid of it, really you can calm it down but you will never get rid of it. I would think it really sucks to have bipolar and that's just my opinion.
