I find this a bit contradictory because for the majority of the book, Cristler blames things like the media, economic status, and race (all things that are beyond individual control) for reasons related to our nation's obesity rates and unhealthy lifestyles. I agree with Cristler in the idea that all of the factors he mentions have an effect on obesity in our nation as a whole. I think each factor contributes to the overall increase in weight gain and obesity rates in our society and Cristler does a great job of informing his readers in a way that really makes us question what kind of things our society it is promoting and influencing us on a daily basis. daily
