This film stereotypes African Americans as living a distressing lifestyle filled with crack cocaine and shootings. The film "Boyz N the Hood" directed by John Singleton depicts how a young teenager moves with his strong-willed father to a rough neighborhood in South Central Los Angeles, while his two friends are easily drawn into the roaring drug culture and of the neighborhood gangs. , with increasingly heartbreaking consequences.
