Topic > The Life of Steven Paul Jobs - 1132

Joanne Schieble and Abdulfattah Jandali were unmarried parents of a child born on February 24, 1955. They made the life-changing decision to give that child up for adoption. One of the candidates for adoption was Paul and Clara Jobs. Joanne and Adbulfattah wanted their son to be able to get a college education and a well-paying job. Paul and Clara were a lower-middle class couple. The child's biological parents were reluctant to allow the Jobs to adopt him, but eventually allowed it. The Jobs moved to Mountain View a couple of years after adopting the little boy they ended up naming Steven Paul Jobs. Steve Jobs grew up in a lower-middle class neighborhood with engineers working on tons of electronics and multiple gizmos in their garages. At the age of 13, Jobs met one of the most influential and important people in his life. Eighteen-year-old Stephen Wozniak, more commonly known as "Woz," was an electronics wizard and, just like Steve, an incredible prankster. Five years later, the Jobs had to keep their promise to their son's biological parents and send their son to college. Steve had an interest in Reed College. Reed College is a very expensive liberal arts college in Oregon. Steve only went to Reed for one semester and then dropped out. He had developed interests in other things such as Eastern philosophy, LSD and fruitarian diets. A few months later he moved to a hippie commune where he spent most of his time growing apples. After a few months spent in Oregon in the hippie commune, Jobs wanted to look for a job, so he returned to California. He was hired at Atari, a young video game manufacturer. He used his income to take a trip to India to “seek enlightenment” with one of his college buddies. Jobs came... halfway down the page... announced that they were going to do a reorganization of Apple, where Steve had no operational duties. He would remain only as prime minister. Steve was devastated. Apple was his business and he was basically kicked out. After traveling for a few months and thinking of new ideas, Jobs returns to Apple in September with a devious plan. Start your own IT business aimed at higher education. He would start this group with former Apple employees. When Apple's directors learned of his new plan, they decided to report him for having taken valuable information about the company to compete with. Following all this, Jobs resigned in September 1985 and sold all but one of his Apple shares. He continued with his new company and incorporated NeXT. Apple dropped its lawsuit against Jobs a few months later.
