Topic > The Berlin Wall and the Holocaust - 1199

The Holocaust was a period of mass-scale destruction or massacre caused by fire or nuclear warfare. During the Holocaust, millions of Jews were killed by the Nazis during World War II. The Berlin Wall was a time when a barrier was built in 1961 to separate East Berlin from West Berlin. I believe the Holocaust and the Berlin Wall had a great impact on many and had many similar ones. Both had similar situations and both involved Germans as well as murder. To begin with, the Holocaust had a great impact on history even though it was a time of disasters, murder and discrimination. It was a time when Adolf Hitler, a German politician and leader of the Nazi Party, wanted all Jews to suffer or die. Adolf Hitler turned everyone against the Jews because he believed they were too rich and too powerful, so he wanted to eliminate them all. The Jews went through much suffering and pain. German soldiers, taking orders from their leader, Adolf Hitler, put some Jews to work and killed others. Many Jews were unable to go to work and were killed instantly. All the women were separated from the man and most of the women were killed instantly, only a few were given the opportunity to work. One of the ways Jews were killed was that they were put into gas chambers by the ton or shot by soldiers. The Jews were also starving, the dehydrated soldiers did not give them enough food or water. They only want those with blue eyes and blond hair, discriminating against everyone else. The soldiers not only killed Jews but tortured them for whatever they did. Jews were transported from camp to camp by walking even in the worst weather conditions and many died as a result. The Berlin Wall was created at the end of World War II...... middle of paper...... Er to overcome guards, checkpoints and borders. The escapes or escape attempts had a great impact for others in the camps or on the other side some took them as motivation to fight for freedom. That there was still a chance for them to have a better life than the one they were living. As for the Jews, all they wanted was to be free and not live as they were, through all the torture and suffering, so that they could see their families happy again and not go and die in the gas chambers. To conclude, both the Berlin Wall and the Holocaust were similar in many ways. In both they fought for freedom. As for the soldiers, all they wanted was the opportunity to kill without regret but only with orders from their leaders. Because everyone today is still talking and researching the history made in the past and talking about the impact that both of them had.
