It is undeniable that computers and the Internet play an important role in our daily lives. Today, many questions have been raised regarding the decline of morality and pornography of culture. These issues have become a serious problem all over the world and leave a great impact on many people, regardless of their age, culture and religion. Muslims and non-Muslims are worried about what the future will bring if actions are not taken to reduce these bad influences which are becoming increasingly influential especially among young people. Moral issues mainly come from mass media such as music videos, films, video games, magazines and also from social networks. Some believe that this new “culture” cannot be stopped. However; there are actions that can be taken to minimize it so that the current and future generations can lead a good and healthy lifestyle. At the time, alcohol and drugs were considered taboo in society in both the East and West. Today in Britain many teenagers are involved in binge drinking at an early age. They walked semi-consciously through the streets late at night and some were picked up by the “booze bus” to be sent to the hospital to keep them out of trouble (Binge Drinking, 2012). Other forms of immorality, such as drug abuse and premarital sex, have become a major concern of many people, including the government. The immoralities portrayed by teenagers today can affect the number of skilled workers and the economic status of the country. Malaysia, a Muslim-majority country, is also facing the same problem. Drugs and alcohol are being consumed rampantly and dealers are becoming more creative in transporting drugs in and out of the country (Four Arrested, Drugs Worth RM2m, 2013). If morality and religion are not taken seriously, raising the status of one's country will be more complicated in the future than it already is. Therefore, all parties play an important role in promoting awareness among young people about the importance of morality and religion in everyday life. New leaders are needed, religious programs must be introduced, and superstars who have the potential to give positive influences are one of the many ways to reduce corruption in today's new culture. The proposed alternatives will not only benefit the present generation but also future generations. As Muslims, the problems faced by society should not be ignored and it is everyone's responsibility to urge the youth to get back on the right path.
