This McDonald's has some similarities and some differences compared to the McDonald's located in Washington Heights. You can see everything inside the McDonald's because the windows are completely transparent except for some posters covering parts of the window. The posters in the windows promote McDonald's convenient menu and the other says you can win a new one for Xbox. There is another poster promoting their white chocolate mocha. The McDonald's is located on the street corner and does not have an awning that extends into the street. The tent does not maintain the traditional colors. The curtain or showcase consists of the colors brown, black and white. The name McDonald's is written completely in white, while lying on a brown and black striped background. The brown stripes stick out while the black stripes lie in the background. Below this sign is another sign that sticks out in front of the main entrance. This sign is very small but has the McDonald's logo, but uses the colors red, yellow and brown. The area is very busy and when I first look at the McDonald's there are four people standing outside. One is a Caucasian man in his sixties and she is standing and scratching a lottery ticket. He wears a black leather driver's cap, a black wool coat, semi-dark blue jeans, and black shoes with rounded toes. His face was chubby and he had a blond mustache. One unique thing was that in his arm he carried a dark colored bag that said “American Liver Foundation. Your liver, your life. A few steps away from him is a Caucasian woman in her fifties. He wears a long gray and black striped wool coat, blue trousers and black pointed shoes. He was slightly overweight and was holding a red and white shopping bag... in the center of a sheet of paper... obvious why it was so narrow. One of the main differences between this McDonald's and other McDonald's was that the janitor here was a young Caucasian male who appeared to be around 25 years old. He was wearing the same uniform as the other staff member and wore black glasses. All of the janitors in Washington Heights consisted primarily of Hispanic women. This janitor though seemed frustrated because he didn't really have room to move or clean. People cycled to and from the restaurant. When I was there, the African American woman next to me spilled her drink on the floor. The janitor told her it was okay several times while she continued to apologize. I could tell he was having trouble by the moans he made and continued to run from one end of the restaurant to the other. Also, because it was raining, he constantly went to the entrance to clean, but was constantly stopped by people entering.
