Topic > Importance of a Family: Adopted Children Need Support Too

The last time I remember my family being bright and happy as a whole was probably seven years ago. My family members have been my perseverance, my strength and, above all, my friends who have always supported me. When I fell, it was their hands and their smiles that gave me the strength to get back on my feet, when I felt like giving up, it was their arms that opened wide to hug and welcome me. As joyful as we may be, I thought my family was the most beautiful and purest thing to live in my life. Sad, lived truth that cannot be forgotten even after many years of dealing with the same old reality of what happened; where was the fault? I wondered. I knew it was futile to try to cover up the deep-seated wound within me, but in hopes of making the memories of this disaster disappear, I, a child, was given time to hide those memories as best I could. I often told myself “at least I have a family… I shouldn't be sad” and I thought about those who were adopted and how they felt. However, the scar deepened by a few seconds and the spaces to be filled quickly widened. If I were to be hurt, I would endure the pain even if I wanted to lean on someone; I kept everything to myself and believed in patience. The impact that family separation has on children has been a serious problem around the world for centuries. However, parents fail to recognize the effect of how their irresponsibility can affect their children's education, their future and their body image as their children struggle to continue their lives assuming they have been abandoned. Documents are documents. There's probably someone writing right now about children in foster care and explaining how children all over the world need our support. Yet, we often realize... middle of paper... the case for education, whether teaching a normal child or not. In this way they keep their motivation for learning alive. For stereotypical matters, if news like CNN and FoxNews showed information on the statistics of how many foster children are being educated along with the possible obstacles in the future and how this can be prevented, perhaps more parents will adopt a child to share their wealth and their Love. Staying away from primary issues like the severe storm that hit a few days ago, CNN news is currently talking about Johnny Depp and Seth Rogen having no importance whatsoever to the environment and the world we live in. Imagine the number of foster children who are brought into their new loving family and the happiness and hope they find when they are embraced! As the old saying goes, “Money can't buy happiness,” so parenting abused and neglected children IS PRICELESS!
