Has your child been a victim of bullying? If they did, did they get the justice they deserve? well, not most people do. This is because bullying laws do not truly protect children at school from bullying at school. I will tell you that kids who bully don't get the punishment they deserve because of the laws, the teachers and staff, and the students. For starters, bullying happens everywhere around you, yet almost nothing is done about it. No one will stand up or speak up until it is too late or at all. Laws don't help enough. The law we have in Florida is the Jeffrey Johnston Stand Up For All Students law. This law states that anyone in the school, whether students or teachers/staff members, is subject to bullying, it is prohibited. If they say it's illegal, why don't they do anything or take too long to find a solution. Not even every state in the US has an anti-bullying law. Only about 49 states have anti-bullying laws, and only half will actually have serious consequences. Every state has a law after someone has been bullied to an extreme degree. That said, does this mean someone has to go through a tragic encounter to get a law? It may take too long once the bullying has been reported to take effect. When reporting bullying, many times school police or administrators take too long or deal with other "more important" things than they are dealing with your case. From then on, the bullying will continue until someone crosses the line and something happens. For example, perhaps the child who was being bullied committed suicide or ran away, yet all of this could have been avoided if they had taken care of the case. Another point Teachers and staff members... middle of the paper... .suicide towards the end of 2012 due to bullying, but that man never suffered serious consequences. With that. if students, staff members and students spoke out and reported all the bullying they see, perhaps there would no longer be tragic outcomes. Most importantly, those who bully receive the punishment they deserve and serious consequences. So to do that, I believe there should be an anti-bullying law in every state without there being anyone who can be bullied for it. Precisely to prevent anyone else from suffering that type of torture. My final observation I have for you is that if you ever see an incident of bullying occur, you need to report it to an adult, a police officer, and even an administrator. This way you will help children everywhere, save lives and feel better about yourself knowing that you have done something important to help people.
