EARLY MODERN ENGLISH PERIOD The Early Modern English period takes place between the Middle English period and the Modern English period. The Early Modern English period begins in the 15th century and ends in the late 17th century. Modern English is used by the English colonies, Wales, Ireland, Scotland and England. The language derives from Germanic and Anglo-Frisian. In this period the origins of the words are Yiddish, German and Italian. William Coxton is one of the most important men of the time because he promoted the spread of printing and, by carrying out numerous translations, contributed to communication between languages. The other important man is Shakespeare. In the 16th century the reformation occurred, and in the 17th century Francis Bacon began a new science. These events influenced the evolution and development of language. In the modern period the writer changes some words by using new words instead of borrowed words. Sir Thoomas Elyt tries to introduce new words which are obstinacy, maturity, pristine and modesty. In this period many writers mainly reviewed Latin borrowings. But many Latin words accepted by men and writers did not replace any word. Sir John Cheke does the translation and manages to add some English words. On the other hand Ralph Lever and Nathaniel Fairfax tend to use Latin loanwords in their lyrics. In terms of poetic vocabulary Edmund Spenser is an important poet. After the use of some terms which are archaism and rhetoric many poets try to imitate it but sometimes they make mistakes. Even though they make mistakes, they introduce something into the poetic vocabulary. Some writers criticize other writers who use different grammatical rules. For example they use prepositions at the end of the sentence and make mistakes while using p...... in the center of the paper ......man can do to achieve something is to put natural bodies together or move them apart from each other 'other. The rest is done by nature working within us. In the example above, the writer explained the meaning with shorter words, while the translator used phrasal verbs, and the translator divided the sentence into two sentences. Furthermore, there is a literary meaning in the original text using some effective words. But the translator used some clear words from which literary meanings cannot be deduced. In conclusion, there is not much difference between the ME period and the ME period. There is some use of modal verbs in ancient ME, while it is very common in ME. And the translator opened the sentences by extending the words. Thus, there is a loss of literary meaning. By the way, it is not that difficult to understand texts written in Early ME.
