Topic > Understanding the relationship between Judaism and…

Being an educated Christian means knowing the overall aspects of Christianity. There are many aspects of Christianity that have their roots in Judaism both historically and theologically; Christianity shares a bond with Judaism. It is undeniable that historically Christianity has its roots in Judaism. And theologically it shares the same divine god and his first preaching. The customs and traditions followed by the early Christians were mostly Jewish traditions. However, over time, both religions have grown to the point of mutual hostility. Looking at the animosity, there have been many incidents where Jews and Christians did not tolerate each other. Therefore, understanding Judaism is essential to learning the holistic nature and history of Christianity. First of all, historically, the first Christians were the Jewish people who believed in the teachings of Jesus Christ. They lived simultaneously with the Jewish people. The Jews did not distinguish Jews from Jewish Christians. At first Christianity was considered one of the sects of Judaism. Gentiles were the first to initiate the religion as a separate entity from the Jewish nation. Historically and theologically it is a known fact that Jesus was born into a Jewish family and was accustomed to Jewish culture and tradition until his adulthood. The fact that he was the "Messiah/Anointed One" for Jews and Christians for years makes the ties between the two religions close. Jesus was proclaimed the Savior of the Jews. The Jews and early Christians called him the Son of God. Jesus' preaching was not strictly limited to Christians. Historically, the Seduces were the only group that was against Jesus and him being... at the center of the paper......g of Judaism, there would have been more people helping the Jews during World War II. However, there were many other Christians who helped the Jews escape execution. In conclusion, the Christian who understands Judaism and its importance in the existence and derivation of Christianity should be considered an educated Christian. The factors mentioned above make the two religions inseparable at the dawn of human history. Therefore, understanding Judaism will encourage Christians to appreciate the history behind it. Given the bonds that Judaism and Christianity share, it seems that Christianity would not have begun if Judaism had not existed. Therefore, Christians must have a better understanding of Judaism to be educated Christians. In my opinion, religious tolerance between two believers should also be encouraged to be polite.
