When looking at a particular discursive community, you may come across a number of genres that are conveniently applied to articles oriented towards the discursive community. When looking at the stock market debate, the two genres that appear most often are news articles and analysis articles. Both of these genres can be written with an intended audience of people within the discursive community or people outside the discursive community. The key point of differentiation is the language used when writing. It can be written using terminology that only people within the discourse community understand, or in such a way that everyone understands exactly what the author means.
