STRATEGIC GROUP MAPSThe strategic group map defines an industry that provides similar products to the same segment of the population (Lyke 2014). With strategic group map can help organization to identify direct and indirect competitors besides that strategic group map also can identify strategic opportunities and problems (strategic group map 2014). The strategic issue to be considered in the tea industry is how much tea leaves the country can produce. Since the quantity of tea produced by each country is different, the variables chosen for the strategic group map are "tea leaf production" which will be shown on the Y-axis. For the x-axis the strategic group map will be l The geographic area it is exported to will show how much each country's tea industries export tea to another country. This will vary from a low to high amount of tea exported by each country. Given the range of tea India produces, there are numerous competitors around the world who supply and produce tea. For reasons of economic scale, many tea-producing countries try to penetrate existing products by exporting to another country (Senewiratne 2013). In order to capture the competitiveness of these tea industries in the world, the strategic group map highlights the quantity of tea producers and the geographical export of each country's tea industry.
