Topic > Latino Immigration Essay - 731

It is not easy to leave your country and go to a different place in search of something better for your family or your future. That's what I think because I'm Latina and I know how hard the situation was for me when I came to the United States, even though I didn't cross the border like other immigrants, but I think that's hard too. The first time I worked in the United States was in a nightclub. I worked there because I wanted to earn my own money to understand how difficult it is to earn your own money. Working in that place was a nightmare for me, especially because the people who frequented that nightclub knew that I was Latina. They humiliated me by doing disgusting acts and treating me like a criminal because I was a waitress. After this experience I understand how difficult the scenario is for Latinos who come to the United States hoping to change their lives. As a recommendation, Latinos must be proud to represent their home country in the United States because there is nothing that can influence us after all the racism and humiliation we face in this world.
