Through martial arts, children will experience intense emotions, both in taking blows and, sometimes, in losing the fight. Dealing with loss and suffering physical injury makes it easy for children to become emotional, but it is by dealing with those emotions that they learn to control them. Children gain understanding of how they feel, patience, and understanding of how they work as human beings. This art is very therapeutic for children who are often overly aggressive and hyperactive, and they learn to overcome their aggression and let their energy out through this art. Allowing them to reach a state of tranquility and maturity. This alters the child's mental state inside and outside the dojo and in the child's personal life. The emotional maturity acquired forms a strong and self-confident child; making the child more successful in the future. Emotional maturity is a very strong aspect in life and martial arts. In all martial arts, children are taught rigorous discipline through sport. They learn to behave physically by understanding how their body works and how to behave. The mental aspect teaches children how to concentrate and listen, self-control and stronger decision-making skills.
