I certainly believe that technology has more of an advantage than a disadvantage in the classroom. When technology is present appropriately, for example to support emerging reading and writing skills. I had seen firsthand how kids become more engaged in an activity when I bring out portable technology. Most children know how to use technology better than their teachers. In many cases, teachers perceived this as a challenge in teaching new skills to their students. I think children should be introduced to technology in preschool through kindergarten, as teachers, we should not let technology become the child's teacher. For example, some teachers use technology as a tool to manage classroom behavior. There are so many concerns about teachers and technology in the classroom, most of the concerns are about the safety of children using the Internet. I agree with the concern for the safety of children with all the different types of resources they can be exposed to. Teachers and parents must take on the role of educating children and teaching children how to do so
