A successful theater production is the main goal of every director. My outcome is to produce a text that aspiring set designers can follow as the basic principles of successful set design for a theater production. To undertake this, my question is simply: “What aspects of the set design process are linked to a successful theater production?” I did strenuous research to discover the set design process, from first reading the script to production. The script tells us more than just the actor's lines, it also mentions specific set requirements such as windows, doors and stairs. It is also important to study the script carefully and note down all the key features, so that a detailed outline of all the vital features can be presented to the director. Their vision will then be modified to compensate for the strict importance of how the performers will interact with the set. Planning with drawings and models after taking note of the director's vision is crucial.
