Topic > Child Pornography: Fuel for Pedophiles - 1047

According to the American Heritage Dictionary, the word pornography means: sexually explicit images, writings, or other materials whose primary purpose is to cause sexual arousal. The term child pornography applies to sexually explicit material involving children under the age of eighteen. Human being as part of a civilized society is destined to evolve and eradicate certain types of behaviors that regress us as a society and degrade our human nature. No matter the harshness of punishments against the people who possess, produce, distribute and so on, child pornography is something that is growing day by day and can be proven by statistics. The huge difference between "normal" pornography and child pornography is not only legal or illegal, moral or immoral, the people who create and participate in this type of product are adults, they are paid for what they do. In the case of child pornography the minors involved are forced, abused and sexually violated, some of these minors may have been kidnapped from their homes, others used by their families to earn money in this unpleasant business. But the important point here is the fact that available child pornography is the fuel for those pedophiles who seek innocent victims to satisfy their deviances. As a society we have the power to prevent, enforce laws, monitor the Internet and care for our small and defenseless victims of child pornography, and we also have the power to stop this illegal and growing trend of using children as mere objects of sexual pleasure .According to statistics found on the “Women's Services and Resources Website,” child pornography generates $3......middle of paper......for the rest of their lives, as we call them a "society". Each of us has the tools to stop all this, first of all understanding the differences between legal and illegal pornography, legal is the one in which adults are involved. Secondly, we must be aware that in recent years cases of pedophiles abusing children are increasing and we must protect our children. And the third point is that we have an important stake in creating new policies against child sexual crimes. As simple as signing an online petition, donating some money to children's rights organizations that carry out extensive campaigns against pedophilia, or even doing some research to find out if there isn't a registered child molester living in the immediate area where we live. Small things like these can help create a better society and extinguish this type of unacceptable behavior.
