One may not understand what drives us forward day after day. No one understands this unless they have lived in the footsteps of another. Ask any Native American. They have lived a life of judgment and misunderstanding from others, and if they didn't, their ancestors did. Native Americans pass down stories from generation to generation, so they surely felt what it was like to be misunderstood. They believe differently than other cultures, but no two are the same. They have a very complicated and difficult to understand system when it comes to their opinions. How they see, believe, and operate their system is never fully understood unless you grew up with Native American culture. The religious culture of these people is what holds their tribes and their lives together. Historically, Native American religions are very different between tribes. Most are unique to their individual tribe. Others are widely spread across many tribes, but still find differences among them. Native religions, just like other religious groups, have sacred sites. These sacred places are considered sacred not only by the natives themselves but by the American government who has now also declared them protected. The Native American Church is considered the most popular of all Native American religions. This church teaches the Peyote religion. The religion originally began in Mexico and was established in the tribes of the state of Oklahoma. The Peyote religion is the most widespread of all Native American religions. Although it varies between different tribes, the main teaching remains consistent across all. It is used to communicate with the spirit world and is also used as medicine. Native American religion...... middle of paper...... The wheel can be interpreted in many ways, such as the stages of life, the seasons and the elements of nature. Although Native Americans have a complicated system, it is certainly interesting. With in-depth culture there is no end to its learning. It's a concept that no one except the Native Americans themselves can fully understand. Native Americans have a special connection to themselves, the world around them, and the land beneath our feet. This is a very special value to have. They are strong people and they would not be strong without their culture and their beliefs.
