I understand that people fear what they don't know, but this is not a good way to live. It leads them to exclude others before they even have the chance to get to know them. I think this is part of the reason I've learned to have thick skin, why I worry so much about what other people think of me. However, this also led me to be kind, fair-minded and non-judgmental. I know there are some stereotypes labeled about people about everything from things like their religion to their nationality. Luckily, the way I was raised was to be kind and treat everyone equally. I know this will help me succeed as a resident assistant, as the population I will be working with will be diverse
