Yes, AP classes are harder, they're supposed to be. They are preparing you for the next step. All of you who play sports know that to get to the next level you practice on a daily basis. Student musicians, can you become the best just by looking at your instrument in the corner? Well the same goes for studies. You can't just look at the book and know what's in it or look at the words without understanding them and expect to know the material. Teachers aren't always honest, or even like you, but guess what, so what!!! In ten or fifteen years you won't even remember their names, but what about that job you could have had if you had graduated? And who pays the consequences, certainly not that teacher or that professor. Plus, I know I don't want my next surgeon to have gotten Cs and Ds in biology by operating on me. Or the car I'm driving, designed by someone who failed physics. The other argument is that students don't enjoy life by being stuck studying all day. This is just a brief window into your life. You are in college for 4 years and in graduate school another 3 years or more depending on your major. Studies show that we are now living well beyond the 80s, 90s and 2010s. Do the math. I'd rather you spend your life doing something you love to do because it's your passion and it took you 8 years to be the best, than live day to day, paycheck to paycheck because you get the chance to stop and smell the roses at 15 years.
