Before I start trying to exemplify the purpose of writing this statement, I would like to give a brief introduction about myself. My name is Tasmia Tus Safa and I graduated with a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from North South University in 2017. I am currently working as a Software Quality Assurance Manager at Skitto, a digital product of Telenor Group's Grameenphone. Previously, I worked as an intern at Banglalink Digital for four months, in the Network Operations department. Please forgive me as I intend to provide a little synopsis of my motivation to become a better engineer. I searched for answers around me, trying to decipher my inner vocation at just 18 years old. Then I remembered those moments of amazement during physics lessons. I remember being intrigued by the lessons on waves, lights, and how magnets work. When I was in seventh grade, I was absolutely fascinated by how something as small as electrons could light up the world. Hoping to keep that spark of curiosity alive within me, I chose Electrical Engineering. My love for circuits, control systems, hardware and software grew every year. The labs at my university were equipped to satisfy students' thirst for coherent absorption of knowledge. Say no to plagiarism. Get an Original Essay The courses I took on electrical theories were not only helpful but also challenging enough to help me make a firm decision to stay in this career field. For my senior year, I did a project on developing an efficient use of magnetic energy to achieve a cost-effective way of levitation. The project was successful and used a unique and innovative combination of efficient magnetic levitation and propeller-based forward propulsion. The teachers in my department appreciated our work and we even got an A for our project. Also, for another course, my group mates and I wrote a paper on implementing a highly efficient power management system to charge phones using RF energy harvesting. The article demonstrated an idea in which a voltage doubler circuit located inside the device receives RF signals from nearby Bluetooth devices and consumes the signal's energy efficiently to charge. After graduation, I did my internship at Banglalink Digital, owned by Global Telecom Holding. I was given partial responsibility as project coordinator on a BTS sites site improvement project. I currently work as a software QA manager at Skitto, where I work with developers to prepare test cases, report bugs, and suggest improvements to the core app. These experiences helped me gain knowledge and insights into the practical world. It developed my analytical and research skills. Furthermore, I was more driven towards this profession because I saw how powerful this professional field is and how much impact I could have on society by channeling my knowledge in the right direction. What also motivated me was the lack of women in this field, especially in my country, Bangladesh. I had no role model to follow, no one to look up to when I started studying or even in the workplace. I want to make an impact and be someone that little girls can look up to and draw inspiration from. Overcoming obstacles in this male-dominated field has made me even more determined to succeed, and having an international degree from Canada with ties to the.
