From an early age I enjoyed taking part in science at school. I have deepened this study by studying them at an advanced level. I would like to study petroleum engineering specializing in reservoir engineering if possible. My interest in natural resources was born when I came across a detailed article about “Hubbert's Peak” in a newspaper. I was fascinated by the assessment of subsurface formation using sophisticated technologies, oil production, and how drilling for such a widely available resource has become so difficult in recent years. It is truly an engineering marvel to see companies drilling into the sea at 18,000 feet to obtain a natural resource, which in years past was readily available at 2,000 feet. I want to be part of a new era where engineers are constantly pushing the boundaries in an effort to be cleaner, more efficient, and extract value from our world's depleting resources. Enrolling in the course I specify is the natural step for me to further develop my interest and will lead me to my chosen career of working in the natural resources field. I have completed my 10th with 83% marks, 12th with 79% marks and am currently studying Petroleum Engineering from Chandigarh University, Punjab, India. As a result, my experience at this university has been admirable both in terms of academics and other events. Say no to plagiarism. Studying physics and mathematics allowed me to further develop my interests. For my semester project, I studied drilling fluid and design for shale formation, which I enjoyed immensely. I understand that drilling fluid plays an important role in the drilling of oil and gas wells. This was an area that was also touched upon during my visit to the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, India, which is one of the largest oil and gas companies in India. During my curriculum, I was involved in writing a review paper on “Tight Gas Reservoir: An Unconventional Reservoir”, “Hydraulic Fracturing in Tight Reservoir and found that although narrow reservoirs are remarkably impervious, the rock hard, making the extremely narrow underground formation and are characterized by low porosity and permeability, contain enormous hydrocarbon reserves. I had also published a review article on “Techniques used for the production of bioethanol”. further research. I also participated in the “Youth Mock Parliament” organized by the Department of Management Studies, Chandigarh University which helped me a lot to adapt and speak en masse. So far I have taken part in the event “SPE FEST 2K15” organized by Pandit Deandayal Petroleum University and “CRUST 2017” organized by UPES AAPG Student Chapter held at University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun. I had also participated in the “Progress in Petroleum Industry” project exhibition during Engineers' Day conducted by Chandigarh University and had bagged the first place. Additionally, I secured 2nd place in the Ice Challenge competition, which used waste products. In turn, this made me aware of how engineering principles and equipment can make the best use of waste and how essential they are nowadays.,.
