Remembering René Descartes, in his philosophical statement “Cogito Ergo Sum” translated into English as “I think, therefore I am”, as he clearly explained, we cannot doubt our existence while we doubt. He claimed that the very act of doubting one's existence served – at a minimum – as proof of the reality of one's mind; there must be a thinking entity – in this case the self – for there to be a thought. But thinking about myself implies the meaning of who I am. With this all the philosophers have drawn much of the reflection of my life. I am aware of my surroundings, my peers, my family, my future and many things. Deep in my thoughts, I could say that I would like to be a... and I want to be... it's quite ridiculous, I know there's just constant change, I can't predict my future, there are many factors that influence our daily life. Whereas we are still adapting to the new normal type of learning. Ultimately I am not only concerned about my student life but also about our world, our political society, beliefs regarding religions and thus I realize our essentiality as a being. Our goal and purpose is to improve our lives, so we wish to progress with joint efforts through different aspects, including our spirituality. Additionally, we need to know our best defense against this to achieve the best quality of life and journey we want to take. By addressing this together with inspiration we will be able to have a fulfilling life that we dreamed of. As I learned from Saint Augustine from the statement “know thyself, how can I know others if I do not know myself”. He continued to search for true happiness and wisdom by dedicating himself to various philosophical studies. He became skeptical of all religious beliefs and became critical of the Catholic Church. He wandered a lot and pointed to something that Plato had called the Good, exalted on high. His ideas and spirituality dominated and shaped the thinking of many. And he quoted that “My heart is restless until it rests with God.” Reflecting this on myself as I considered love to be the center of my life. We too should place faith in ourselves and in the presence of God who lives within us. For me, God is our strength and our companion in the search for truth. I should begin now to develop a responsible sense of freedom and live with a sense of transcendence. Please note: this is just an example. Get a custom paper from our expert writers now.
