Dead Poets Society directed by Peter Weir is a film that teaches teenagers to seize their lives and live them while they can. This school story is teaching a valuable lesson to a group of kids who have difficulty planning their future. All this is changed by a unique teacher with an interactive way of teaching. Todd is forced to meet his older brother's high standards and isn't sure what he's capable of until he steps out of his comfort zone. Todd almost changes character throughout the film. The choices he makes are all caused by something that pushed him to do it. The choices Todd makes are mostly him blocking everything out. He is not sure of himself and does not want to expose himself for fear of making a mistake. His first major decision is not to speak at meetings. He just wants to watch and listen. But she hasn't had many classes with Mr. Keating yet, so she doesn't know that it's okay to make mistakes and that there is no wrong writing or wrong answer in poetry.
