His experience was documented and presented in a novel known as “Beyond the Light”. In the novel Jazmyne recounts her experience by saying: “I have to say that this experience was disturbing to say the least. I was floating on my body. I could see and hear everything that was being done. I left the room for a while and then returned to where my body lay. I knew why I died. It was because I couldn't breathe. I had a tube down my throat and the medical staff didn't have an oxygen mask on my nose and they gave me too much medicine. In my out-of-body experience, I used my mind to lift my left arm to remove the tube from my mouth and as I did so I looked carefully at my face and tears flowed out of my body.
