Data InvestigationAfter assigning student data from a school that has been given a made-up name, I will use this data to pursue a line of inquiry. From the data in my possession there are 1200 students in the school, where 599 are boys and 601 girls. The following is a graphic designer who shows how many girls and boys there are in each annual group. Annualleumero of girls of girlsitotal 7150130081414125270912014026010100111111184861707, 8, 9 , 115996011200I also have details about each student on the following things: Name, Age, Year group, IQ, Weight, Height, Hair color, Eye color, Distance from home to school, Usual method of going to school, Number of brothers and sisters , Key Stage 2 Results in English, Mathematics and Science. This information indicates that I have (1200 x 14 =) 16800 reference points from which I can follow a line of inquiry. For my statistical investigation I will investigate the relationship between IQ and the key outcomes of phase 2. Due to the problem of having a different number of students in each year I will use a stratified sample. I already know that I have 1200 students in total in the school, considering this and the number of students in each year group, I will train my stratified sample by 4%; because 1200 is a large number of students to investigate. Year Fraction of pupils in each year Number of pupils in the sample of 487 boys 1501200150 x 48 = 612007 girls
