Solving the Dilemma Using Information Processing Model In the case, the child's mother is under the influence of her religion to refuse medical treatment to the child. The father, however, contradicts the mother's decision and insists that the child receive medical treatment for meningitis. The doctor through clinical knowledge should let the mother know that the administration carries the responsibility to look out for the best interest of the child, i.e. undergo medical treatment because there is no scientifically proven alternative method to safely treat meningitis.
