Only it's not a fake scene, this is real life. There are six levels of force that an officer can use and may need to use during his or her time as an officer. The lowest level of force is the presence of an officer at the scene and the position of the officer's body. This level of force is typically used whenever an officer first appears on a scene or on a call. The second level of strength is control or verbal commands. Verbal use of force occurs when an officer asks you to do something. The third level is physical control. This level provides for stock holds, pain or pressure compliance. This force is used when a suspect tries to resist arrest or verbal commands. The fourth level is very close to the third, this is a serious physical check. This is really when using carotid control and electronic devices. Carotid control is a kind of choking hold that makes the person want to obey. The fifth level is impact and weapons. This is the moment when you first express your willingness to use the stick by touching or holding it out. Then possibly make the suspect fake it so he can't resist again. The last resort is lethal force. Most officers do their best to not have to get to this level or even be in the position where this force is used. But deadly force is drawing the gun, pointing it and, or finally shooting. (Police
