Topic > Positive and negative effects of violent video games

In this research called: The good, the bad and the ugly. Ferguson points out that there is ongoing concern that playing violent video games could increase the risk of aggression in players. The possibility that playing violent video games can promote some positive developments, particularly related to visual cognition, is not often discussed. In his findings, Ferguson found that violent games can increase aggressive thoughts, but these thoughts do not appear to lead to aggressive behavior. This does not mean that video games are entirely healthy, but it gives the opportunity to consider that video games are not the only reason for aggressive behavior towards children, even if they are playing violently.
