Project 150 is an amazing organization. They are a charity that works to provide necessary materials to students who cannot afford them. They recognize that being a high school student is not easy. Project 150 aims to make things a little easier for many students who may be facing “more difficult than usual” circumstances. From what I have seen they have a mission to try to not only help but also guide students towards a better future. They provide the opportunity for students to succeed even when the odds are against them. Unfortunately, there is a fairly common problem in our community. Hundreds of students go to school knowing that school lunch may be the only meal they eat that day. They leave school knowing they have nowhere to go. It's a sad situation but there is hope. This is where Project 150 comes in; they provide numerous resources and supplies to help and support them. They provide clothes, food and even school supplies. Prom and homecoming are traditional events at nearly every Southern Nevada school, but there are many students who are unable to attend due to financial circumstances. Project 150 allows students to have a much more “normal” school experience by providing things like prom and prom dresses. Project 150 therefore offers these students the opportunity to be involved in these school activities that otherwise would not even have been possible. This is just one example of how this organization represents community generosity; they simply do it to make someone else's life a little easier. Because they are a non-profit organization, they are not participating for the purpose of financial gain. Education is one of the most important things you can have. .....medium of paper......and automated phone calls made by schools. They could post flyers in local stores and malls. These would be my suggestions for increased awareness of Project 150's mission. As for problem awareness, it would be along the same lines. If they could get public figures to address the issue or perhaps get the news to do a segment on the topic, it would have a big impact. As with all things nowadays, social media would be essential. Almost everyone has some type of social media account, and raising awareness through these channels could prove very useful in drawing public attention to this issue. If Project 150 can raise awareness of the situation among a large number of people, it could bring not only more resources, but also more innovative ideas for how to convey Project 150's mission to hundreds of other students in need...
