ACTIVITY SOURCE: At approximately 9:30 PM on April 19, 2014, I was dispatched by the Levelland Police Department dispatcher to space no. 35 of Alamo Trailer Park. The dispatcher advised that he was receiving multiple emergency calls from residents living in the area indicating a large fight in progress and gunfire. I activated the ambient lights and the audible siren and alerted the dispatcher that I would be on my way. While dispatch along the route advised that they were now receiving 911 calls regarding suspects in a white SUV trying to run over people. OFFICER'S OBSERVATIONS AND INVESTIGATIONS: While traveling I overheard SGT Tindel advise that he was in the area. SGT Tindel then advised that he was attempting to stop a vehicle in the area but they refused to stop. I advised SGT Tindel that I was close to the area and needed to know the direction of travel of the fleeing vehicle. SGT Tindel advised that the vehicle had stopped in front of space no. 38 in the Alamo Trailer Park and now had three subjects held at gunpoint. Officer Garza and I arrived on scene and observed three male suspects lying face down on the ground. Officer Garza and I handcuffed the three male suspects while SGT Tindel provided lethal cover. SGT Tindel placed two of the male suspects, later identified as Alejandro Olivares and Armando Delgado, in the back seat of his patrol unit. Officer Garza placed the third male suspect, later identified as Christopher Benites, in the back seat of his patrol unit. Deputy Lawless and Deputy Ross (Hockley County Sheriff's Office) arrived at our location along with Officer Ramos (Texas Department of Public Safety). Officer Garza advised that he would contact the residents of space #1. 38 that were still standing on the porch. W... in the middle of the paper... a phone call from Deputy Ross who was in the Covenant emergency room with Deputy Lawless. Deputy Ross informed the two patients received by the emergency room that they were involved in the accident that occurred at the Alamo Trailer Park. Deputy Ross advised that both individuals suffered serious injuries. Deputy Ross advised that one of the patients, later identified as Jaime Ornelas-Gonzales, suffered a severe laceration to his right bicep, a possible stab wound to the base of his skull, and several other small cuts to his body. Deputy Ross notified the second patient, who was later identified. I told Deputy Ross to get information from the patients and start photographing the wounds, he agreed (photos attached to the report). I also asked Deputy Ross to stay in the ER with the patients until officers from this department could speak with them, he agreed.
