This document will discuss the six criteria for evaluating the quality and effectiveness of the WLP function in an organization. Each criterion in the document is supported by explanation and sub-factors. All the evaluation revolves around the role of WLP function, structure, philosophy, policy methods, processes, models used by WLP function in different sub-functions like (talent management, learning and education, organization performance management, organization development) . Criterion – 1WLP Department Structure –WLP (Volume –II by Rothwell & Henery) Structure can be defined as the formal structure of organizing departments, divisions, work, groups, jobs and individuals. The process of creating structure is called organizational design. The first criterion to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of WLP department is how WLP is structured in an organization, what roles, jobs, department, division, groups form the WLP function in the organization. Sub-factors: A. Organizational structure of the WLP function.B. Budget allocations for the WLP function in the organization.C. WLP.D department staff. Roles in the WLP.E department. Role of Head/Director/CHRO/President of WLP in the Executive Committee.F. Relationship between CEO and (Head/Director/CHRO/President) WLP. Why important: The WLP structure will define the different role of the WLP function in an organization and helps define the WLP identity and key requirements of the function. The framework assessment will provide us with detailed descriptions of the WLP roles, reporting relationships, role behavior and the key area of WLP in the organization.
