Topic > Who am I? - 649

Who am I, I am Aaliyah Ellerbee, an eighth grade student at Harambee Charter School. But that doesn't really define who I am as a person. I'm just a normal teenager who enjoys school, getting excellent grades, and bioengineering. I was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I am a young African American Muslim woman. I have a younger brother, they were 4 years apart. I have fun, I have loving parents who are always there for me. After 13 years on this planet I still haven't figured out who I really am. After going from class to class, meeting new people, I still can't pinpoint exactly "who I really am." At school I like to go above and beyond with projects, tests and more. Also, staying on the honor roll, I'm also interested in math and science in school. I would like to attend this high school because I am very interested in the extracurricular activities that the school offers. I like playing basketball, soccer and running track. Even though I'm not on the team, I enjoy participating in these sports at school. I want to try a lot of new things in high school. I want to go to this school for the results I can get. I also want to attend this high school to have a great experience. I want to be challenged by work so that I can work harder than ever. So I can work my way up to becoming a successful bioengineer and have many college options. Another reason I would love to attend your high school next year is because you have an incredible and inspiring curriculum. I went to a few schools and none were complicated or complex. I don't want to be smarter, that's not why I would want to go to your school, I want to be challenged. I'm just saying I wish...... middle of paper...... high school is a lot of things like; good grades (honor roll and honors distinction), make as many friends as possible, do my best in every class, play on at least one sports team and never be afraid to speak my mind, also join a sports club science and mathematics. In order to receive an excellent grade I will have to study and concentrate more. To make many friends I just have to be myself and not be someone I can't fit into. I want to play a lot of sports and high school is a great place to start. I have always wanted to be part of a volleyball, basketball, and track team. I have a strong mentality and I like to argue to make my point of view understood. I would like to join a science or math club because I am very interested in science. I also love mathematics, I like to challenge myself and compete when it comes to my work. I need someone to compete with, so whoever does better in tests we can help each other.
