I compared authoritarian and democratic regimes and discovered some interesting facts. These two regimes can be differentiated by examining some of their main characteristics which have been established for centuries. The democratic regime aims more to involve people in the political system which the authoritarian state unfortunately does not provide. However, I don't think authoritarianism has an extremely bad system. It still has dictatorial leadership, but the state government tries to readjust itself to better suit the people. I have found that the democratic political system severely limits the pure power of personality and strengthens elite groups in power. When people elect their deputies to power structures, the elite is effectively formed. And this elite can turn into an authoritarian group, whose opinion is dominant in the decision-making process. I would prefer democracy, rather than authoritarianism. Even though the democratic regime may have some flaws, it still guarantees freedom, equality and justice to every human being
