In the mind of a police officer, race does not play a role in when to use lethal force. Their job is to keep the public safe, and when they hear that there's a man pointing a gun at people in a public store, that's what they're going to do, black or white. In these cases it was a black criminal with a white police officer, and there is no reason why it would be any different if it were the other way around. If there were a black officer and a white criminal, they would do the same thing to keep people safe. On the other hand, equipping the police with weapons, armor etc. it happened for a reason. This special equipment is for the safety of the officer and the safety of the public. SWAT teams equipped with this equipment have arrested many drug dealers and murderers and rescued many hostages. Because of them, those dealers won't sell drugs to your family or friends. Even those murderers will not be able to reach anyone because they are now in prison. The force used by the police is for a reason, not of race or religion, but for the safety of themselves and the people around them. Protesting against those men and women who do exactly this is not the right thing
