Using and forming opinions about data leaves the user vulnerable to data fraud and other unethical concerns. To uphold the integrity and core value of “Excellence” we must ensure we provide accurate and honest representations of the data we provide. By observing the data in the following graph, you can appreciate how many different analyzes can be carried out. Starting from a frequency graph, you can appreciate its simplicity. This is important when potential employees ask about current employee demographics. Having this information available will allow you to quickly determine whether the environment... middle of paper... An administrator could simply inform the curious parent that there are two employees who have more than four years of college-level education and be correct; however, such information does not provide the whole story. Knowing the frequency doesn't tell the whole story without knowing the total. In this case two employees represent 20% of the structure. The parent would have a much better understanding of this information if they were told the percentage. Furthermore, this graph also depicts that the data presented is discrete ordinal data. As you can see, data is very important in the field of education. From the simplest form of frequency graph to relative frequency graphs, how data is presented is vital. The extra time needed to calculate percentages could force one facility to miss a shipment resulting in hardship for others.
