In terms of strategies used to circumvent these cultural barriers, my father's supervisor used a structural intervention method to adapt, based on the Harvard Business Review (Brett). Since he worked in the toy industry, a lot of collaboration with factories in China is needed, and my father is usually the only one who has real work experience on the Asian continent. Furthermore, it also includes the general culture of that part of the world. Therefore, he was considered the specialist in that specific area in his company.
